What To Expect
I offer a space where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are. My work centres the clients’ experience, and welcomes anyone who has felt out of place within dominant narratives around identity, mental health, or how a life “should” look.
My approach is person-centred and experiential, grounded in authenticity, building safety within our therapeutic relationship, and making sense of your experience on your own terms.
I welcome clients bringing anything they want to explore, whether clearly defined or not.
I provide an LGBTQIA+, trans, queer, and non-binary and neurodivergent-affirming space.
Experience
I work with a wide range of experiences, including identity, trauma, and the impact of navigating systems that haven’t always fit or held you well.
I have experience supporting people who have felt misunderstood or misdiagnosed within services, including those who later identify as neurodivergent, and the impact this can have on self-trust and sense of self.
My background includes several years supporting people in acute emotional distress and suicidality through a national listening service, alongside work in substance use, safeguarding, victim support, and youth justice. This informs a grounded, non-pathologising way of working with distress, risk, and complexity.
Training And Professional Practice
I have completed the Postgraduate Diploma stage of training and am now in the final year of an MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I have counselled clients for over two years, including within an LGBTQ+ service, and now also offer therapy in private practice.
I attend regular clinical supervision to support safe, ethical, and reflective practice. I am a Trainee Member of UKCP and a Student Member of BACP, and I work in accordance with their ethical frameworks.
